Our story

After settling in a little valley on the Sunshine Coast and building our forever home in 2000, our new kitchen needed more bench space. I had plenty of old timber from my previous job in restoring old Queenslanders, so I decided to make a timber bench out of recycled timber and put it on castors. They reminded my wife of 'old butcher's blocks' so we decided to call them 'Bushblocks' and an idea was born, and they have been sold at Eumundi Markets since 2001.

I consciously make Bushblocks so they don't have any further impact on our fragile environment.

I believe my product has broad appeal and their practicality and beauty have taken them to kitchens all over Australia and around the world. They have also been incorporated into many businesses including restaurants, coffee shops, hairdressers, book stores, and men's wear boutiques.

I love working with timber and I ensure that no two pieces are the same, thus every customer receives a unique piece of furniture.

Neale.
